Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg raw /green tomatoes
  • 2 onions
  • 2 green chillies
  • 1/4 tsp hing
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chilly powder
  • 2-3 kashimiri red chilly powder
  • 1 tsp dhaniya jeera powder
  • 1-2 tsp salt
  • 2-3 tbsp jaggery
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp whole jeera

Instructions

  • Wash and cut the raw tomatoes.
  • Heat oil, crackle jeera, add green chillies and hing. Then add the chopped onions.
  • Saute till translucent. Add the dry spices. Cover and cook for few minutes.
  • Add the chopped tomatoes. Cover and cook till done or tender.
  • Add the jaggery. Allow it to dissolve completely. Add salt.
  • Once done serve it in a serving bowl and garnish it with some coriander leaves.
