A traditional Bengali sweet popular all over India. It's made from chhena and is very easy to prepare.

  • Chhena - 500 grams
  • Sugar - 4 tablespoons
  • Milk powder - 100 grams
  • Milk - ½ cup
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon

Instructions

  • Knead the chenna well and prepare chenna dough. To make the dough proper make sure you knead till the chhena becomes non - sticky in nature and does not stick to your palms.
  • Take a non stick tava and add the chhena dough into it. Mix sugar into it and then pour the half cup milk gradually. Keep stirring. Then add two tablespoons of milk powder into it and mix well. Stir constantly until the chhena doesn't remain sticky in nature. Put off the gas and allow the chhena to cool down.
  • After the chhena cools down, start kneading it again. Use cornstarch and knead until it doesn't remain sticky in nature.
  • Now make small balls out of the chhena dough and coat each ball with milk powder. Kachagolla is ready !
