Who said healthy food is always bland and flavourless? Kachumber Salad is a lip-smacking dish made with freshly chopped cucumber, onions, tomatoes, cumin powder, black pepper, black salt, lemon juice and coriander. This is a very easy salad recipe that you can make for everyday use.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 large cucumber
  • 1/2 small onion
  • 1/2 medium tomato
  • black salt as required
  • black pepper as required
  • 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon coriander leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin powder

Instructions

  • Mix The Ingredients In a bowl, add chopped cucumber, onion and tomato. Also add roasted cumin powder, lemon juice and adjust black salt as per taste. Mix the ingredients well.
  • Ready To Be Served Transfer the salad to a serving bowl. Garnish the kachumber salad with chopped coriander leaves along with black pepper and serve.

Notes/Tips

You can add some chaat masala to add an extra flavour to the salad. Boiled corn can also be added to give a sweet flavour to the salad.
