- Make pista dough Take powdered pistachios in a bowl. Add milk powder, 1/2 cup sugar and water as per need and knead well to form a dough. You can add a few drops of green food colour for better colour.
- Make kaju dough Add 1 cup sugar to a pan along with 1/2 cup water. Mix well and cook for a few minutes to form a syrup with one-string consistency. Now add powdered cashews, cardamom powder and ghee to the pan. Mix well to form a smooth mixture. Now cook it for a few minutes, until the mixture leaves the sides of the pan.
- Roll out sheets Take out the prepared kaju dough on a butter paper and knead it for a few minutes with greased hands. Now place another sheet of butter paper on the dough and roll it out using a rolling pin. Cut the kaju sheet in half. Also divide the pista dough in two equal parts and roll between your palms to prepare a cylindrical shape. Place the two pista rolls in the two kaju sheets. Now roll the kaju sheets to prepare two seperate rolls. Gently roll them between your palms to make them longer.
- Cut and serve Chop the rolls into 1-2 inch pieces and serve.
