  • Suran
  • Bachali
  • Tamarind
  • Green chillies
  • Mustard
  • Salt
  • Oil
  • Urad dal
  • Chana dal
  • Cumin
  • Hing
  • Red chilli

Instructions

  • First peel and dice Suran, boil the pieces in a sauce pan. Add just as much water need to cook Suran and add Salt. Once it is half cooked add chopped bachali leaves and let it cook till it is tender. Add Tamarind paste and adjust the salt. Meanwhile in a pan heat oil and add seasoning seeds like urad dal, chana dal, mustard seeds, jeera, red chillies and hing. Once they start splattering add curry leaves and slit green chillies and fry for 1-2 min. Add this seasoning to the cooking leaves and let it cook for few more min and turn it off. let it cool for sometime. Once dish is little warm not too hot add the mustard seed powder and mix well. Serve with rice,chapathi.
