- In a large mixing bowl take 1 cup besan and 2 tbsp rice flour. also add ¼ tsp turmeric, ½ tsp chilli powder, pinch of hing, ¼ tsp baking soda and ½ tsp salt. now add water and prepare a thick batter. directly into hot oil, take small holes perforated spoon and pour besan batter. fry golden and crisp. also fry cashews and curry leaves. finally, mix everything and serve kara boondi.
