  • Whole wheat flour , oil , water, salt , turmeric
  • jaggery, Elaichi ,poha , Fried gram ,dry copra

Instructions

  • Outer Covering : Knead together - 1 cup of whole wheat flour, a pinch of salt, a pinch of turmeric , 2 tsps of very hot oil and little water . Keep aside . Filling inside : Mix together - 1/4 cup each of - jaggery powder, fried gram powder , dry copra grated , powdered poha and 1/4 tsp of elaichi . Keep aside . Preparation : Take a small ball of wheat flour mix and roll it into a small size poori . Take appropriate amount of the filling and put it in the poori prepared . Fold it as shown in the pic . Take care to see that the ends stick together . If needed , little water can be applied to the ends to make them stick together. Make around 10-15 karjikayis and arrange them in a plate. Heat a pan with Oil . Drop the prepared Karjikayis in the oil and deep fry them on medium flame . Take them out once they are golden brown. Ready to serve.
