Kesar badam kulfi is also known as Matka kulfi Most evenings, Kulfiwala (Kulfi seller) would come with his hand pulled cart on which an earthen pot {mataka} filled with ice and salt to keep kulfis in frozen state. That is why some people call it matka Kulfi.
