  • Khajur
  • Walnuts
  • Raisins
  • Almond
  • Cashew
  • Honey
  • Ghee
  • Poppy seeds

Instructions

  • Remove the seeds of the Khajoor and cut it into small pieces. Finely chop The dry fruits.
  • In a pan or Kadai, Add Khajoor and cook it on a low flame for 5 minutes or so until the khajoor softens and becomes a lumpy mess. Add 1tsp ghee on it.
  • Add dryfruits in it and mix It. After 2-3 min switch off the flame. Let the mixture cool down.
  • When the mixture is cool enough to touch make a cylindrical shape by pressing with both hands.
  • Coat this log with poppy seed so that it covers the whole cylinder shape of the mixture.
  • Now place this rolled burfi on cling film and wrap up tightly. Keep it in the fridge for an hour to set.
  • After an hour when the rolled burfi is set, take them out of the fridge. Cut them into ½" thick pieces. Khajur burfi or dates burfi or dates n nuts rolls are ready to serve on festive occasions.
