Ingredients

  • 150 grams thick semolina
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • 150 gram jaggery
  • 400 to 450 ml water
  • 1/4 cup wet coconut
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • For Decoration : coconut & cherries

Instructions

  • Add ghee to the pan and fry the semolina well.
  • First heat the water in a pan over a gas.
  • Roast semolina, add wet coconut and saute.
  • Then add jaggery, add hot water little by little and stir. Add turmeric powder and mix well. Cover and cook over low heat.
  • Remove the lid and see the semolina blooms well then add cardamom powder on it. Mix well.
  • Grease the plate. Spread the mixture on a plate and press it in spatula.
  • Cut with a knife in diamond shape.
