- Firstly wash dal and rice well and soak for 10-15 minutes.
- Further heat ghee into a pressure cooker and sputter cumin seeds and bay leaf.
- Now saute chopped onion until it's golden brown.
- Further add chopped tomato Cook until mashy. Now add all dry spices. And cook until ghee becomes separate.
- Now add all veggies and green peas also mix it well.
- Add on water and dal, rice. Cover the pressure cooker with lid. And cook on medium flame until 2 whistle comes out.
- Turn off the flame and let the pressure cooker release gas on its own.
- Open the lid and checkif the rice and daal have turned soft.
- Serve hot along with pickle, curd or papad.
