The term “Kulukki” means “Shaken”. So it can be understood as a shaken limeade or lemonade that is so cooling and refreshing when had on a hot summer day.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp pineapple
  • 1 Green chili
  • 2tsp Sabja / Basil Seeds
  • 3/4 cup Water
  • 1 Lime
  • 1/4 cup Simple Syrup
  • 2 tspLime juice
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  • Slit the green chili, remove the veins and seeds inside and chop finely.Take sabja seeds in a bowl. Add 2 tablespoon water and let it rest for 3 to 5 mins.
  • It would have bloomed well forming a white viscous substance around it.You will need a shaker bottle or a water bottle with a tight lid.
  • Put the lemon slice into the bottle.Add green chili, pineapple, lime juice, simple syrup, ice cubes, water and soaked sabja seeds.Close the bottle tightly and shake vigorously till its frothy.
  • Pour directly into a serving glass.Serve this kulukki sarbath immediately.
