  • Green chillies
  • Onion
  • Cardamom
  • Coconut milk

Instructions

  • Preparations: Soak the rice for 10-15 mins.Slice the onions,green chillies and keep it aside.shred the ginger too. Take the fresh coconut and grind it well with water to get the milk.this milk should not be very thick,so add much water and grind it. Method: Take a pressure cooker or a pan.Add oil and when oil gets heated up add fennel seeds.when it cracks add cinnamon,cardamon,cloves and fry.once done add green chillies and shredded ginger ,curry leaves and fry for 2 mins.now add onions and fry till it gets transparent.Add green peas and fry for 2 mins and add soaked rice and fry for 2 mins.now add coconut milk with measurement of 2 cups for 1 cup of rice.once it comes to boiling stage add salt and close the pressure cooker lid.let it cook till it gets 2 whistles.If you are cooking in a pan,boil till rice is cooked well. To Garnish: You can fry few cashew nuts in ghee and garnish on the top of the rice.
