- Heat oil in a pan, add dry red chilies, coriander seed, cumin seeds, dry coconut, slightly saute it. To it, add chana dal, urad dal, saute it for about half a minute. Then add garlic cloves, curry leaves, shallots, slices of tomato pieces, cook it. Later grind to fine paste. Now, in another pan, when it hot enough, add mustard seeds, red chilies, cumin seeds, chopped bottle gourd, shallots, green chilies, salt, tamarind juice, jaggery, and cook by stirring occasionally with closed lid. After some time, add earlier ground onion and tomato paste along with water cook it for about 1-2 minutes. At last, garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve it with hot rice.
