  • Mustard Oil
  • Potatoes
  • Jaggery
  • Tomatoes
  • Tamarind
  • Dry Red Chili

Instructions

  • Mix the whole wheat flour with water and make a tight dough
  • In a separate bowl add minced garlic (8-10 cloves), minced green Chili, (2-3), Carrom seeds (A table spoon), Mango pickle, Salt, mustard oil (2 table spoon) and mix everything well with roasted gram flour, sprinkle some water to ensure it's not too dusty.
  • Divide the whole wheat flour dough into 4 sections and make space for the roasted gram flour mix to go in it . (Just the way we fill a stuffed parantha), press with both your palms to ensure it's round, tight and leaves no room for the mixture to come out.
  • Put them in a uttapam make - brush oil or ghee on top and turn them and cook in low flame till it's fully roasted. And your litti will be ready
  • For the Chokha - boil 1-2 potatoes or microwave them for 7 mins - add mustard oil, salt and chilies and mix it well, till it looks like a portion of mashed potato
  • For the Chutney - Cut tomatoes into cubes (take 2 of them ), add mustard oil in a headted pan, put a dry red chili and some mustard seeds into it - add the tomatoes - stir well and add tamarind (Soaked in water for 10 mins) and jaggery (3-4 table spoon).
  • Add salt to taste - bring it to a boil till the extra water is gone and the Consistency is thick. Put all the 3 things together - Litti, Chokha (Mashed Potatoes Indian way) and chutney and serve.
