  • 2 cups Flour
  • 4-5 tbsp Refined Oil
  • Water
  • Oil for frying
  • 500 ml Milk
  • 8-9 Cashew Nuts (paste)
  • ½ cup Sugar
  • 1 ½ cup Water for syrup
  • 15-20 Cloves

Instructions

  • For the dough, mix the flour with 4-5 tbsp of oil and water.
  • Divide it into small balls.
  • For the syrup, boil 1 ½ cup of water with 1 cup sugar.
  • Keep boiling till sugar is dissolved and becomes a bit sticky.
  • For the stuffing, oil the milk in a high flame for 10 mins.
  • Then add sugar, cashew and pistachio paste.
  • Now keep stirring in a slow flame while the kheer is done. This will take some time. Let it cool down.
  • Now take the ball and roll it in the shape of a circle.
  • Put the kheer stuffing in the middle
  • Fold from all sides and keep it in place with a clove in the middle.
  • Heat the oil and fry the lobongo lotikas in low flame, till they are golden brown in colour.
  • Put it in the sugar syrup and let it soak for 15 mins.
