Ingredients

  • Besan 1cup,sugar 1/2cup,milk 1tsp
  • Ghee 1/2cup, almonds 2tsp, saffron 6 strands

Instructions

  • Method : *In bowl add besan,1tsp milk, 2 tsp sugar and mix gently to form crumbs. *Seive the crumbs and keep aside. *In a pan add ghee and the besan mixture,mix for about 15mins in low flame, it turns brown that is the required color. Turn off the flame. *Now in another vessel add sugar and same quantity water, saffron and boil for 5mins on high flame. After which check for 2 string consistency. It may take 2mins more. *Now add the sugar syrup to the besan mixture and mix well to form a thick burfi consistency. *Transfer the content into greased plate and add cut almonds. *Allow it to cool for 1 hour and cut into pieces and serve.

Notes/Tips

Take out of the flame immediately after mixing sugar and besan..else it becomes powder..will not be able to cut into pieces
