  • Broken wheat or Bulger wheat
  • Millet ( Bajra )
  • Moog
  • Rice
  • ghee
  • ginger, chilli , garlic paste
  • kadi patta
  • Maggi mashala
  • mix vegetable ( Matar , carrot, Tomato, Potato /

  • Sesame seeds
  • Jira
  • Asafoetida
  • water
  • semi crushed groundnut
  • chopped coriander
  • ghee as topping
  • 1 spoon for garnishing
  • Curd for side dish
  • pickle
  • Papad

Instructions

  • Roast each items one by one till you get good aroma & let them cool. Now ground all these items (coarse grinding). Now Bhaidku Mix is ready. This can be preserved for 4-5 months if stored in an airtight container You can add other grains of your choice
  • Firstly, in a pressure cooker heat 1 tbsp ghee and saute, Sesame seeds, cumin and a pinch of hing. Roast for two to three minutes until the color changes , continue to saute add ginger, chilli , garlic paste. saute 1 tomato till they turn soft and mushy
  • Add vegetables like peas, carrot and Potato. saute for a minute
  • Now add maggi masala,coarse grindead groundnut powder, turmeric, salt. saute on low flame.r leaves.
  • furthermore, add Bhaidku pre mix for a minute on low flame.now pour water and coriander leaves
  • mix well. cover and pressure cook for 5 whistles on medium flame
  • finally, serve masala Bhaidku Mix with curd and pickle.

Notes/Tips

Bhaidku is a Gujarati word for spicy porridge. Bhaidku is very healthy dish and it is a light nutritious meal. It is usually served hot with curd and pickle. This has goodness of whole grain (due to coarse grinding). Preparing the dish with Maggi Masala makes it yummy and kids and adults both eat this dish happily. .. Bhaidku can be served as a breakfast or lunch and if you are having low carb meal at dinner time this is the dish ! An extremely tasty and delicious, packed with health benefits
