Ingredients

  • 1 cup maida
  • ½ cup rava
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 and ¼ cup sugar
  • ½ tsp fennel
  • ½ tsp cardamom powder
  • ½ cup water
  • Oil for Deep fry
  • Dryfruit for garnish

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl add all dry ingredients like maida, rava , ¼ cup sugar, fennel powder and cardamom powder ¼ tsp and mix well.
  • Now add milk add mix well, make sure there are no lumps in the batter. add water if required and mix well. batter should be smooth poring consistency. Now cover it and rest the batter for 30 minutes.
  • In a pad add 1 cup sugar and ½ cup water and make a syrup. it takes 5 to 6 minutes
  • In a deep kadai add oil/ ghee. Heat the oil properly and pour the batter into hot oil / ghee. once the malpua starts to float, splash oil over malpuas it will puff up like poori. now fry both sides till they turn golden brown.
  • Remove from the oil to a kitchen towel to remove excess oil now soak the malpuas into hot sugar syrup. rest for 10 minutes for both the sides to soaked well.
  • Now decorated with dry fruits and serve . you can serve with rabri also

Notes/Tips

You can replace milk with khoya
