  • Salt
  • Cumin
  • Mustard
  • Ghee
  • Red chilli
  • Garlic
  • Curry leaves
  • Green chillies
  • Turmeric powder
  • Hing
  • Mango
  • Red chilli powder
  • Tuvar dal

Instructions

  • take 1 cup toor dal and wash and add water and 1/2 tsp of turmeric and keep it aside. Take green chillies and add to dal which is soaked with turmeric and add little curry leaves to it too and add sambhar powder 1/2 tsp here either. cut the raw mango and peel of the skin of the mango and dice it into 1 inch cubes and take it to another bowl. take these bowls seperately and pressure cook it for half an hour and see that your bowls should be safe enough to go in the pressure cooker. after the dal and mango cubes are cooked for half an hour you should sim the flame to low and cook in low flame al together for 30 minutes. for tempering: add ghee to a saute pan and when it is heated through add red chillies, mustard seeds has to crackle and add cumin seeds and add chopped garlic and see that the garlic should be cooked and curry leaves,hing and redchilli powder to it and add this tempering to dal and add salt to taste and bring dal to a boil and serve hot with rice or chappati.
