- Roast the mamra lightly for two minutes
- Grate the jaggery or finely cut it
- Now in a pan take ghee and add jaggery to it and allow it to cook on a slow to medium flame for approximately three to four minutes
- Check it by putting a drop of syrup in a bowl filled with water . It will crackle when it is done
- Meanwhile grease a pan with ghee
- Now add a pinch of soda lastly and then add mamra and mix quickly
- Spread it on the greased pan evenly.
- Mark squares with a knife or pizza cutter
- Remove when cool from the plate
