Instructions

  • Heat a pan, add 1 tbsp oil, 1/2 tbsp cumin seeds, 1 tbsp coriander seeds, 1/4 tbsp pepper, 1 star anise, 1 black cardamom, 1 green cardamom, 2 cinnamon, 2 cloves and fry till it releases a nice aroma. Add 1 tbsp dried coconut and mix well. Allow it to cool. Add the spices in the blender and grind to a powder. Keep it aside. Take a cooker and add 2 tbsp oil, 1 bay leaf, 1 medium size chopped onion, 2 green chilies and fry. Now add 1 tbsp of ginger-garlic paste and mix well. put 1/4 cup carrot, 1/4 cup beans, 1/4 cup green peas, 1/4 cup potato and mix well together. Now let's add 1/4 tbsp turmeric powder, 1/2 tbsp red chili powder and add the powdered masala and mix well. Add 1 medium size chopped tomato and fry till the tomato softens. Add 1 glass of washed rice without water and combine well. Add 2 glasses of water and salt to taste. Mix well and wait for one boil. Close the lid and continue to cook on the medium flame for 2 whistles. Turn off the flame, mix gently. Serve hot.
