  • Cheese
  • Wheat flour
  • Green chillies
  • Hing
  • Amchur powder
  • Turmeric powder
  • Red chilli powder
  • Cumin
  • Salt
  • Oil

Instructions

  • Mix together cheese, ginger-green chilli paste, asafoetida, amchur, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and cumin powder in a bowl and mash well. Mix wheat flour, salt and enough water in another bowl and knead into a stiff dough. Divide the dough into equal portions and roll them into balls. Grease each ball with a little oil and shape into a katori. Stuff with cheese mixture, gather the edges and seal. Apply a little oil and roll it into a puri. Heat sufficient oil in a fryer, gently slide in each puri and deep fry till golden. Drain on absorbent paper. Transfer onto a serving plate and serve hot.
