  • Urad dal
  • Salt
  • Oil
  • Curry leaves
  • Ginger
  • Green chillies
  • Onion

Instructions

  • Wash the urad dal and soak them for 5-6 hours. Grind the urad dal by adding very little water. Every time add just a tbsp of water. Grind it till soft and fluffy consistency. Take a small blender and add green chillies, curry leaves, ginger, cumin seeds, onion and blend it once. Add this blended mixture to urad dal batter. Add salt and mix well. Take a pan for deep fry, Add oil and heat it. Take a small portion of batter to your hand and flatten the batter with your thumb. Make a hole in the centre. Then slowly drop this in the hot oil. Gently add few more to the oil and fry them till golden colour and crispy. Repeat this till all the batter is used up. Serve hot.
