  • 1.5 cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 cup Semolina
  • Salt as per Taste
  • 1/2 tsp Carom Seed
  • 4 tbsp Oil
  • 2 Sliced boiled Potatoes
  • 1 cup Boiled Kabuli Channa-
  • 4 Chopped Green Chilli
  • 4 tbsp Chopped Onion
  • 4 tbsp Chopped Tomato
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • Black Salt as required
  • 1 tsp Roasted Cumin
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp Chaat Masala
  • 3-4 tbsp Curd
  • 1 tsp Coriander Chutney
  • 1 tbsp Sweet/Imli Chutney
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice
  • Finely Chopped Coriander

Instructions

  • To make Amazing Katori chaat, first take a Wide bowl and add 1.5 cups of all-purpose flour.
  • Now, into the bowl, add 1/2 cup of Semolina, salt as per taste, 1/2 tsp carom seeds, 4 tbsp of oil and mix everything well with your hands.
  • Now add water as required and make a semi-soft dough.
  • Now cover the dough and let it rest for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, check the dough and knead it again.
  • Now pinch a ball size dough and flatten it. Roll it slightly on a roller board and make a round puri.
  • Now, prick the puri with a fork to avoid puffing up while frying. Take a small size bowl and grease it with oil.
  • Now, wrap the puri outside the bowl and make a Katori of dough. Trim off excess making sure the dough has covered well.
  • Now, place a pan on flame and add oil for deep fry and heat well. After the oil turns hot, then put the prepared Katori into oil and fry well.
  • After Katori separating from the dough, then take out the bowl with the help of tongs. Fry the Katori dough till it turns golden and crips.
  • Now, take out the Katori from the oil with the help of a tong on a plate and keep it aside.
  • Now follow the same steps and make Katori from all dough.
  • Now, to make Katori stuffing; take a bowl and add two boiled roughly chopped potatoes to it. Add 1 cup of Boiled Kabuli Chana, four chopped green chillies, 4 tbsp of finely chopped onion, 4 tbsp of finely chopped tomatoes, 1 tsp of salt, black pepper as per taste, 1 tsp of roasted cumin powder.
  • Add 1 tsp of red chilli powder, 1 tsp of chaat masala, 3-4 tbsp of curd, 1 tsp of coriander chutney, 1 tbsp of Tamarind chutney, 1 tsp of lemon juice and some chopped coriander.
  • Now mix everything well with a spoon, and stuffing is ready. Take 2 Prepared Katori and on a plate and add stuffing in Katori.
  • Add Boondi, and sprinkle chaat masala, red chilli powder, salt and cumin powder.
  • Add curd, coriander chutney, tamarind chutney, finely chopped tomato, finely chopped onion, finely chopped green chilli, and add some Namkeem Sev.
  • Now your Katori chaat is completely ready, and you can enjoy it.
