Ingredients

  • 2 cup coarse besan
  • 3 tbsp hot ghee + 2 tbsp. milk
  • as required Some pistachio and almonds finely chop
  • 1 cup ghee
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • as required Few strands of saffron

Instructions

  • Take milk and ghee together and add in the flour. Mix it well. Keep it for some time.
  • Sieve it. Keep it ready. Keep nutmeg and cardamom powder ready. Take Ghee in thick bottom pan.
  • Once ghee is hot, add besan and mix it well. Stir it continously on low flame. Keep sugar ready.
  • Add water in the sugar and let it dissolves. Grease the plate as well.
  • Once besan is fluffy, the colour will change. Add 1 cup milk in batches. Let it cool once it is ready. Start making sugar syrup.
  • Add saffron and freshly grounded nutmeg and cardamom powder. Make 1.5 string. Add hot chasni in besan mixture. Mix it well. Pour the mixture in the greased thali
  • Sprinkle with some chopped pistachio and almonds. Let it set for minimum 8 hours. Cut it into squares. It's ready to enjoy.
