  • Yam
  • Curry leaves
  • Red chilli
  • Urad dal
  • Mustard
  • Oil
  • Salt
  • Turmeric powder
  • Cumin
  • Coconut
  • Moong dal
  • Snake gourd
  • Water

Instructions

  • To begin with, place a pan on medium flame. Pour refined oil in it. Once heated, add urad dal along with red chilies and fry for about 3 minutes. Once done, take out and keep aside. Now, add around 4 cups of water, moong dal, turmeric powder and let cook for another 10 minutes at low flame. Once done, add yam, snake gourd along with salt according to your taste. Boil until tender. In the meanwhile, take out a blender, put fried urad dal, red chili, grated coconut, cumin seeds and blend until smooth. Now, add this prepared mixture to the pan and cook for about 6-8 minutes. Then, transfer the curry in a serving dish. Now for tempering, heat some oil and curry leaves along with mustard seeds in a pan on medium flame. Turn off the flame right after it starts to splutter and pour it over the prepared curry. Serve along with rice or rotis.
