- Wash & soak the moond dal & rice together for 15 mins.
- Pressure cook the rice & dal till one whistle & then one low flame for 5 mins.
- Meanwhile, in a kadhai heat washed & chopped spinach with a cup of water. Once it's wilted, allow it to cool & then blend it.
- In a wok, add oil, crushed 4-5 cloves of garlic, add chilli powder & turmeric powder & the blended spinach.
- When the oil separates, add Salt - stir. & add in the cooked Dal & rice.
- Do not mix vigorously. Just fold it in.
- Serve the palak dal khichdi.
- For the tadka, heat ghee add in finely sliced garlic once it's crisping up add jeera & chillies.
- Garnish The Khichdi With The Tadka.
- Also, if you wish garnish with halved cherry tomatoes (optional)
