- In a blender, add the yellow moong dal , spinach and green chilies and blend into a smooth paste Transfer the mixture into a bowl, add the curd and salt and mix it well and just before steaming, add the fruit salt to the batter and pour 2 tsp water over it and when the bubbles form, mix it gently. Grease the idli moulds with oil and pour spoonful of the batter into idli moulds and steam in a steamer for 10 to 12 minutes or till the idlis are soft. Once done, de-mold and serve it with sambar, chutney.
