- Grind the soaked green gram to a coarse paste. Add some water if required. Heat ghee in a thick bottomed non-stick pan and add the coarsely ground green gram to it. Sauté continuously over low heat for 15-20 minutes or till the mixture turns light golden in colour. Add milk and mix well. Sauté till the mixture is relatively dry again. Add sugar and some water and mix well. Add saffron milk and mix well. Add cardamom powder and khoya and mix well. Sauté till the mixture becomes thick again. Transfer into a serving plate. Garnish with almonds,pista.
