  • Moong Dhuli
  • Urad Dhuli
  • Oatmeal
  • Rice Flour
  • Sooji
  • Finely grated Carrot/Gajar
  • Finely Grated Capsicum
  • Tomato chutney
  • Green chutney
  • Black Mustard Seeds
  • Water
  • Salt
  • Kashmiri Laal Mirch
  • Grinded Curry Leaves
  • Oil

Instructions

  • Wash and soak the lentils for about an hour.Now grind them to a thick batter using water.
  • Add oatmeal,rice flour and sooji to it and mix well.Divide this batter in three equal parts.
  • .To one part add grated carrot,tomato chutney and Kashmiri laal mirch.Add salt and some mustard seeds.
  • Add some water to make a batter of pouring consistency.Keep aside.
  • To second part add green chutney , pureed curry leaves and grated capsicum.Add salt and some mustard seeds.
  • Adjust the consistency to pouring one by adding water.Keep aside.
  • To the third part add salt ,mustards seeds and water to make batter of pouring consistency.
  • Now heat a non stick tawa or pan.Brush oil.
  • .Pour 2 tbsp of one of the coloured batter.Spread to make it round.
  • Now spread white coloured batter all around it .
  • Then spread the other coloured batter to make the outermost ring.
  • Make sure that the flame is low all through the process.
  • Once the upper layer gets dry,flip the side and cook till done.Repeat the process of flipping once again if you want a crispy chila.
  • Your tricolour chila is ready.Serve hot with any sauce or chutney.
