  • Curry leaves
  • Green chillies

Instructions

  • Take a large mixing bowl and add 1 & 1/2 cups of All purpose flour, 2 tbsp of rice flour, 1/2 TSP baking soda, and 1/2 TSP salt.We need about 1&1/2 cups of curd for that. So add the curd in 1/2 cup batches. Beat the Bonda batter.Once done, close it and keep it aside for fermentation for 2 hours. After two hours, At this stage, add 3 tbsp of chopped onion, 3 tbsp grated coconut, a few chopped coriander leaves, one green chili chopped, 1 tbsp of chopped ginger, a few chopped curry leaves, 1/4 TSP Asafoetida powder, and 1/2 TSP of cumin seeds. Mix everything well and beat it for 3 minutes so that the moisture content from the onion incorporate with the batter. Once done, switch on the stove and keep a Kadai with enough oil for frying the Bonda. Once the oil becomes hot, take some batter each time and drop it into the hot oil. Please fry the Bonda on a low-medium flame throughout until it reaches a golden brown color. Once done, take it from the oil and keep it aside. Serve hot.
