No bake mango custard tart

  • Biscuit, crumbled (Parle-G or digestive)
  • Melted butter
  • Mango, peeled and chopped
  • Milk
  • Custard powder
  • Sugar
  • For garnishing- Mango, peeled and cut into cubes

Instructions

  • In a bowl take crumbled biscuits and add melted butter to the biscuits. Mix everything so that the biscuits are evenly coated with butter
  • Take a tart mould and spread the mixture evenly in it. Press the mixture into the mould and once it is evenly covered, let it refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • In a bowl mix the custard powder with 4 tablespoons of milk to make a smooth paste.
  • In a saucepan heat ½ litre milk with 4 Tbsp sugar. Lower the heat and add the paste to the milk. Keep stirring the custard till its done. After the custard is done, switch off the flame and let it cool.
  • Mix 1/2 cup chopped mango with the custard and pour it onto the tart shell prepared earlier.
  • Garnish the tart with chopped mango and other fruits of your choice. Let the mango custard tart chill 2 hours before serving. Enjoy!

Notes/Tips

Make sure that the biscuits are properly crumbled into a finer consistency or the structure of the tart will break. Also, use thick consistency of filling so that it is easily set in the refrigerator.
