- Soak rice for half an hour.
- Boil milk in a heavy bottom pan. Drain water from rice.
- Add rice to the milk and cook it in medium low flame stirring continuously till rice is almost done.
- Take off from the heat and add the date palm jaggery.
- Now on a very low heat, keep on stirring till the jaggery melts completely.
- Adjust the consistency. Garnish with almonds.
- Serve this luscious dessert hot or cold with luchi.
