- First, heat ½ teaspoon oil in a shallow frying pan. Then add 1 cup of quick cooking oats. After that, stir and roast/toast on low heat until the oats become crisp. Stir and sauté for half a minute.Then add ¼ cup finely chopped carrots, ¼ cup finely chopped french beans and ¼ cup green peas, fresh or frozen,cook for another 5 minutes and add water then cover the pan with lid and let it boil.then add roasted oats and cook for another 5-6 minutes,add salt according to your taste and and serve hot.
