Onion Capsicum Paneer with Masala e Magic --

Ingredients

  • 200 gm paneer , cut into cubes ,
  • 1 large green capsicum , diced ,
  • 2 med sized onion cut into 4 , petals separated ,
  • 5 tbsp mustard oil ,
  • 4 choti ilaichi ,
  • 1/4 tsp zeera ,
  • 1 med sized onion chopped finely ,
  • 1 tsp garlic paste ,
  • 1/2 tsp ginger paste ,
  • 1/2 tsp haldi powder ,
  • 1 tsp dhania powder ,
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder ,
  • Salt to taste ,
  • 1 cup dahi & 2 tbsp fresh cream ,
  • 1 pkt Masala e Magic ,

Instructions

  • Firstly soak paneer pcs in warm salty water , keep aside .
  • Take a pan , add 2 tbsp oil , heat it . Fry capsicum & onion for 2 minutes . Keep aside .
  • Now take a wok or deep bottom pan , add oil , heat it.
  • Add choti ilaichi , saute it for a sec . Add zeera now , let it splutter .
  • Add onion , stir fry it untill brown .
  • Now add ginger garlic paste , also add very lil water , stir fry it until rawness is released .
  • Mix haldi powder , dhania powder & red chilli powder with lil water , add in the masala , stir it . Cook it till oil has oozed out . Add salt now .
  • Take a mixing bowl , add dahi , fresh cream & Masala e Magic powder , mix it well .
  • Add in the masala , give a stir . Lower the flame now , cover it with the lid , cook it until oil has oozed out .
  • Open the lid now , increase the flame , add 1 cup boiled water , give a boil .
  • Take out the paneer pcs from the water , add in the gravy . Also add capsicum & onion . Give a stir .
  • Lower the flame now , cover it with the lid , cook it until gravy becomes a lil thick . Add green chili in between .
  • Switch off the flame now , open the lid after 5 minutes .
  • Take out in a serving bowl , garnish it with chopped dhania patta .
  • Have it with Tandoori Roti or Lachcha Paratha .

Notes/Tips

This recipe turned out to be very tasty with Magic-e-Masala . I didn't use Garam Masala Powder yet it was delicious . Curd enhanced the flavour of the whole recipe .
