- Heat sufficient oil in a pan. Combine 1 cup flour, paprika, dried mixed herbs, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, crushed peppercorns and mustard paste in a bowl and mix. Add some water and whisk well to make a smooth batter. Pat-dry soaked onion rings on an absorbent paper. Take remaining flour in a bowl, coat onion rings with it and transfer onto a plate. Spread cornflakes, breadcrumbs and chopped parsley on another plate and mix well. Dip onion rings in prepared batter and coat with cornflakes-breadcrumbs mixture and transfer on another plate. Deep-fry prepared onion rings in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
