  • Maida
  • Oil
  • Milk
  • Rice
  • Poppy seeds
  • Almonds
  • Cashew
  • Sugar
  • Cardamom powder

Instructions

  • Boil milk in a thick bottomed vessel. Once milk started rolling boiling, add sugar to it and allow this to boil for five more minutes. Soak rice and almonds and poppy seeds separately for 3 to 4 hours. Remove the skin of almonds. Keep it aside. Grind all of them along with cashew nuts to make a fine paste. Add the above mixture to the boiling milk. Allow it to boil for 3 to 5 minutes more. Keep it ready. Add water to all purpose flour. Knead well to make a soft dough. Make the dough into equal size balls. Roll them with the help of rolling pin into a thin puri. Make puris as thin as possible. Heat oil in a pan till the fumes come up. Slowly drop the puri into it. Deep fry the pooris in it till they puff up and float. Slowly take them off from the oil and drop them in the flavoured milk. Let them soak in it for 5 minutes or till we add next puri. Soak it till the second puri gets ready. Do the same with the rest of the dough. In between while adding puris, pour some milk over them. Serve them hot or chill.
