  • Blanched spinach puree
  • Cooked rice
  • Butter
  • Cumin
  • Garlic
  • Green chillies
  • Onions
  • Tomatoes
  • Salt
  • Red chilli powder
  • Coriander powder
  • Garam masala
  • Fresh cream
  • Yougurt

Instructions

  • Heat 2 tbsps butter in a non-stick deep pan, add cumin seeds and sauté till it changes colour. Add garlic and green chillies. Sauté for a minute on medium heat Add onion and sauté on medium heat till it turns golden brown Add red chilli powder, coriander powder and garam masala powder. Mix well. Add ¼ cup water and combine well Add spinach puree and mix well. Add cooked rice and mix till well combined Add ¼ cup water and mix well. Cover and cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes Add cream and remaining butter and mix well. Switch the heat off Transfer khichdi in a serving bowl. Garnish with fresh cream .Serve hot with pickle and yogurt.
