Ingredients

  • 200gms. paneer, crumbled
  • 2 tbsp. oil
  • 1 tsp. cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp. asafoetida
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp. ginger, chopped
  • 1 tsp. garlic, chopped
  • 1-2 green chilies, chopped
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp. coriander powder
  • 1 tsp. cumin powder
  • 1 tbsp. red chili powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1 tbsp. amchur powder
  • 1/2 cup green peas
  • 1 tbsp. kasuri methi, crushed
  • to taste salt
  • 2 tbsp. coriander leaves, chopped

Instructions

  • Heat oil & temper with cumin seeds & asafoetida. Sauté for a few seconds.
  • Add the onion, ginger, garlic & green chilies. Sauté till light brown.
  • Add the chopped tomato and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Then add the green peas. Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add all the dry spices (except salt). Mix everything well & give it a toss.
  • Add the crumbled paneer, kasuri methi & salt. Stir fry for 2 minutes.
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  • Enjoy as a side dish with any Indian bread.
