Papaya Barfi

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Papaya (grated)
  • 1 cup Almonds (powdered)
  • 1 cup Khoya
  • 1 tbsp Ghee
  • 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder
  • 1/2 cup Powdered sugar

Instructions

  • Heat ghee in a heavy bottom pan add papaya in it. Sauté on high heat for 5 minutes stirring continuously. Add cardamom powder, almond powder, mix well and let it cook on medium flame.
  • Stir occasionally to avoid burning, Add khoya in it. Let it simmer for 4-5 minutes till khoya is well combined.
  • Add sugar, mix and saute on high heat stirring continuously till mixture become very thick. Take it off the stove, immediately pour it on a greased tray or plate.
  • Refrigerate till it sets (approximately 1.5 hours). Cut in shape of your choice.
  • Papaya barfi is ready to serve.

Notes/Tips

Refrigerate until it is fixed
