- Wash the toor dal and add it to the pressure cooker and cook. Then add tamarind juice to it and mix well. Keep aside. Take a pan and add oil,cumin, mustard,red chilli, corinader and saute well. Add all the chopped veggies and cook. Then add turmeric,red chilli powder,salt and mix well. Add dal mixture to this and add water and cook for few minutes. Turn off the flame and serve pappu chaaru hot.
