  • Red chillies
  • Pepper
  • Garlic
  • Coriander seeds
  • Toor dal
  • Tamarind juice
  • Green chillies
  • Turmeric powder
  • Salt
  • Toor dal stock
  • Oil
  • Cumin
  • Mustard
  • Hing
  • Sugar
  • Curry leaves

Instructions

  • Take a pan and add dry red chillies, pepper, garlic, coriander seeds and dry roast them for 1 minute. Add toor dal, curry leaves and saute it. Transfer it into a blender to blend it into a powder. In the toor dal water add the powder and mix thoroughly. Take a pan and add tamarind juice, green chillies, turmeric powder, salt and boil it by placing the lid on it. Add powder mixed toor dal water, little sugar and check the seasoning then boil it again. Heat oil in another pan and add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, asafoetida and saute it then transfer it into rasam. Boil it for 3 minutes. And serve hot with rice.
