- Mix together semolina, rice flour, sour yogurt, baking soda, ¼ cup water and mix well. Add water little by little to make a thick batter. Set aside to rest for 10 minutes. Add green chilli, onion, coriander and salt to the batter and mix. Set aside. Heat a paniyaram tawa. Drizzle ¼ teaspoon oil into each cavity and spread with a brush. Pour batter into the cavities, filling ¾ of each cavity. Cover and cook for 1-2 minutes. Remove lid and when the underside turns golden, turn to the other side with a wooden skewer. Drizzle ¼ teaspoon oil, cover and cook till golden and crisp on both sides.
