  • Potato
  • Oil
  • Mustard
  • Cumin
  • Chana dal
  • Urad dal
  • Ginger
  • Green chillies
  • Curry leaves
  • Onion
  • Turmeric
  • Red chilli powder
  • Salt
  • Lemon

Instructions

  • Boil potatoes with enough water until soft. Peel the skin and mash the potatoes. Keep aside. Chop onions, green chillies, and ginger. Heat oil in a kadai, add mustard and jeera seeds. Let them splutter and add gram dal and urad dal. Fry them until golden color. Add finely chopped ginger and mix well. Put chopped green chillies. Now add chopped onions and curry leaves. Sauté nicely until it turns into transparent color. Add the required salt, turmeric powder, and chilli powder. Mash boiled potatoes well and add. Mix the potatoes nicely with the masala in low flame for 5 mins. Finally, add a few drops of lemon juice and mix quickly. Switch off the podimas.
