  • Snake gourd
  • Curd
  • Green chillies
  • Cumin
  • Mustard
  • Urad dal
  • Oil
  • Salt
  • Curry leaves
  • Corinader

Instructions

  • Peel the skin of snake gourd and remove the seeds. Chop snake gourd into small pieces. Cook the chopped snake gourd along with salt in little water till they turn soft. Meanwhile, beat yogurt till it is smooth. Heat oil in a pan or kadai. Add mustard seeds. Once mustard seeds splutter, add cumin seeds and broken urad dal. When dal turns brown, add curry leaves and slit green chillies. Saute for a couple of seconds and then add the cooked snake gourd pieces. Fry for a minute and remove from heat. Once it cools down, add the yogurt to the prepared mixture and mix well. Check for salt and add little more if required. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and potlakaya perugu pachadi is ready.
