Ingredients

  • 1 medium beetroot
  • 1/4 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup Aata / Maida
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1.5 tbsp oil
  • as required Water required for kneading
  • as required Oil for frying

Instructions

  • Finely chop beetroot, boil chopped beetroot and add salt + sugar + water (3/4 cup water) and boil for 5-6 minutes. Let it cool and grind into a smooth paste.
  • Mix aata / maida + salt + oil + beetroot paste + water and knead a soft dough.
  • Make small small balls of equal size from dough and roll out and give shape of puri.
  • Now deep fry each Puri in sufficient heated oil and fry both sides.
  • Puris are ready to serve, serve with any curry of your choice.
