Ingredients

  • Purple Fruited Pea Egg leaves
  • Shallots
  • Garlic
  • Red Chilly
  • Gingelly Oil
  • Mustard
  • Tamarind
  • Water

Instructions

  • Take 50 grams of Purple Fruited Pea Egg Leaves.Nicely rinse and grind them to a fine paste.
  • Now strain the paste , add 500 ml of water ,salt and add tamarind paste to it.
  • Mix them well.Finely chop the garlic,chilly and shallots.
  • Take a sauce pan.Add one spoon of gingelly Oil.
  • Put some mustard seeds.When the mustard seeds splutter add the chopped shallots, garlic and red chilly and add the rasam to it.
  • Serve it hot with a bowl of steamed rice.
