Ragi Dryfruit Ladoos

  • 1. Ragi flour 250 gms
  • 2. Jaggery 50 gms
  • 3. Desiccated coconut powder 100gms
  • 4. Rava 50 gms
  • 5. Desi ghee 2 tsp
  • 6. Chopped Almonds, Pistachios 50 gms
  • 7. Milkmaid/Khoya 6tsp
  • 8. Watermelon seeds or Magaz seeds 25gms
  • 9. Sesame seeds for garnish
  • 10. Cocoa powder 50gms

Instructions

  • Step 1- In a non-stick kadai roast the Ragi flour powder with ghee till aromatic and colour changes. Add Rava to the mixture. Add the desiccated coconut. Add the Khoya and chopped nuts to the mixture. Be very careful while roasting as it burns easily. Set to cool aside
  • Step 2: Now melt the jaggery with khoya and keep adding the Ragi till it forms a dough consistency. In this step it is very important to see the Ragi and jaggery does not burn and stick to the pan.
  • Now add chocolate powder and knead the dough thoroughly. For ease keep adding ghee and let it cool for some time to shape it in the form of sweet ladoos balls. Now roll the ladoos with desiccated powder and melon seeds.

Notes/Tips

You can use honey instead of Jaggery.
