  • Ragi flour
  • Water
  • Milk
  • Jaggery
  • Almonds
  • Cardamom
  • Ghee

Instructions

  • Transfer almonds and seeds of 3 cardamom pods to a small mixer jar. Make a fine or a coarse powder. Into a thick bottom pan, add in 5 tablespoons ragi flour. Add 1 cup water to it and mix well such that there are no lumps. Then add 2.5 cups water, give a quick stir and keep this on the stove on high heat. As it starts to boil, add ghee. Mix well. In about 5 minutes, the mixture starts getting thick. Now add the powdered almonds and cardamom and mix well. Then add 2.5 tablespoons jaggery powder. Reduce the heat to low and then add 1.25 cups milk. Stir in the milk well immediately. You can switch off the stove and serve this now or boil for another 2 minutes.
